Canadian waters can be protected from Asian carp, says new study
A new report offers some hope that it may be possible to keep Asian carp out of the Great lakes. Specifically, the report says it’s feasible to create permanent physical barriers to stop Asian carp from entering Lake Michigan near Chicago. The plan involves restoring the natural divide between the Great Lakes and Mississippi River basins to keep invasive species out of the Great Lakes and, in the process, modernize the Chicago waterfront.
