Record Elk by Alex Robinson
Late last month the Boone and Crockett's Trophy Watch site posted a photo of this gargantuan nontypical bull reportedly taken by "Bill Zee" in Pennsylvania. According to the site, the bull scored 442 6/8 inches, edging out the standing state record by 1 inch.
This from Trophy Watch:
"B&C Official Measurer, measured this non-typical American after the
60-day drying period and tallied an entry score of 442-6/8. Once accepted (entry paperwork in route) 442-6/8 would surpass the current
state record of 441-6/8, taken by John A. Shirk in 2006." The standing world record nontypical wapati is the infamous Spider Bull, which scored 478 5/8 inches. Click the following link to read that story and see photos of the top 40 record elk.
