Salmon try to cross flooded roadway in Washington by Pete Thomas Outdoors
You may have seen salmon migrating upriver, or trying to leap past small waterfalls. But have you ever watched them trying to cross a flooded roadway? The video, posted on the KOMO News website, shows salmon swimming across Skokomish Valley Road in Mason County, Wash., on Tuesday morning, as a powerful storm struck most of the Pacific Northwest. Rain and strong winds are expected through at least Thanksgiving Day, and
wind gusts from 50-70 mph were recorded in some areas. As for the salmon, hopefully they can avoid the busy holiday traffic.
